It is with great honor to service you here at Grambling State University Student Counseling and Wellness Resource Center (SCWRC)!
上海快3官方网址Leaving home to pursue a career can be life changing, these changes may cause growth, and the transition may even catch you by surprise. Grambling State University SCWRC is highly qualified to assist college students through these times of adjustment. In providing services, SCWRC motto is to plant healthy seeds into the lives of our students to help them grow. SCWRC acknowledge the stress connected with the pressures of academic as well as the environmental and cultural changes students may experience. With the help of our staff these difficulties can often be alleviated through professional therapy.
SCWRC offers a variety of services to properly meet the needs of GSU students who are currently enrolled. We offer free individual & group therapy, 24 hours crisis intervention on-call service, outreach, and disability services and much more . The center offer a () virtual pamphlets sponsored by the SCWRC.
Based on recent year approximately 2500 students use our counseling services during an academic year. Many of the reason the student utilizes service include relational issues such as (having problems with family, friends, roommates or significant others), anxiety, stress related issues, decision-making, depression, alcohol or other substances, eating problem, self-worth, self-image, sexual violence issues, and healthy choices and healthy relationships.
If you are someone you know are in need, please call our office or come by, walk-ins are accepted. SCWRC will either provide the help that you need or assist in finding the referral you need.

We're Here To Help
We know you’re juggling a lot. Our counselors can help you explore the important issues and life decisions you face as a college student.
We offer individual and group counseling as well as community programs, to help meet your personal and academic goals. Confidentiality is highly regarded by our staff. Your records and conversations are held in the strictest confidence. Your parents, faculty and staff outside the Counseling Center cannot get any information about your counseling appointments, including whether or not you are being seen. We will not divulge information about you without written and signed release, except as required by law or professional ethics. The details of this will be discussed further at your intake appointment.

上海快3官方网址Stop in or call (318) 274-3277 to schedule an appointment. Before you meet with a counselor, you will need to complete a consent form and short intake process.
We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year. The office is closed during the lunch hour, but there is a counselor on call 24hours/7 days a week..
If you need assistance outside our regular business hours, contact an emergency resource or find off-campus care.
CRISIS RESOURCES – WE ARE HERE TO HELP
The Student Counseling Center is available in the Foster Johnson Center should anyone need to speak with a counselor. There is a counselor available during office hours and an on-call emergency crisis counselor. Follow links below for more assistance.
